Les Sablettes, La Seyne-sur-Mer
What to do at Les Sablettes
At Les Sablettes almost everything sits within a few minutes on foot. The sandy beach is 70 metres from the studio, one minute through the seaside park, and you reach it without crossing a road. The park itself runs along the water across the whole bay: children watch the turtles and the birds, families walk there in the evening. Opposite the residence, the shuttle boat jetty leads to Toulon and to the islands. The bakery, the shops and the seafront restaurants are a few steps away. This is why most guests park the car on the first day and do not touch it again until they leave.
The beach, one minute through the park
One of the finest sandy beaches in the Var, and the shortest way there from the studio goes through the park rather than along the road. That detail matters with children or full arms: there is no roadway to cross between the building and the sand.
The seaside park
It starts at the foot of the building and follows the sea. There are turtles on their rock, birds, palm trees and the Maison Pouillon. It is the way to the beach, and a walk in its own right, in the shade, when the sand gets too hot.
The sea, beyond the beach
The bay lends itself to water sports, and the jetty opposite the residence opens onto the rest of the roadstead: Toulon on one side, the islands on the other. A day at sea therefore starts two minutes from the door, with no driving and no second car park.
Where to eat
Bakery, shops and restaurants are a few steps away, on the seafront and around it. The terraces look onto the beach, and several guests describe walking there in the evening and walking back, which is as good a definition of a car-free holiday as any.
