From Les Sablettes
Reaching Toulon and the islands by boat
The shuttle boat jetty is opposite the residence, two minutes on foot: you cross the street and you are at the quay. From there the bay shuttles run to Toulon, along with the connections to the islands, Porquerolles included. This is why a car is not needed to visit the area from Les Sablettes: the centre of Toulon, its harbour and its markets are reached by sea, with no traffic and no parking to find on arrival. Timetables and fares change with the season and with the line, and are worth checking with the metropolitan transport network before setting off.
The quay is opposite
It is the first thing guests notice: the quay for Toulon is on the other side of the street. Two minutes on foot from the studio door, with no detour and no car to move.
Toulon by sea
Crossing the roadstead is an ordinary public transport journey, and also the finest way to arrive in Toulon. You land at the harbour, at the foot of the town centre and its markets. Several guests have gone for the day, one of them for the Christmas market in December.
The islands
Connections to the islands, Porquerolles included, leave from the same bay. Check the line, the season and the return time before you go: the service in August is not the service in January.
What to check before you go
Timetables, fares and which lines are running depend on the season and belong to the metropolitan transport network, not to the flat. This site does not copy them, so as not to display something out of date: check them on the morning itself, and Corine is happy to answer the question during your stay.
